Florida Harpers and Friends

Our Goal is to...

• be an organizing force for Florida harpers and friends. (Friends meaning fiddle, whistle, guitar, flute, pipes and drum players.)
• bring you an informative quarterly newsletter including:
  
  • Feature articles on instrument makers, music therapy and other topics of interest to F.H.F.;
  • Membership Corner, articles about members and their accomplishments;
  • Announcement of folk festivals, conferences, night watches, Scottish Games etc.;
  • Calendar and location of meetings and jam sessions for F.H.F. in your area;
  • Repertoire Information;
  • List instruments and accessories for resale;
  • Membership directory including important information to related societies and insurance;
  • Reviews, editorials and reports on the "goings on" at activities
• do one statewide harp workshop each year (Annual workshop date: Super Bowl weekend Friday and Saturday)
• meet as an entire body once a year in a formal meeting and informal jam session. For convenience, this meeting will be scheduled during the annual statewide workshop.
• be open to your needs as an artist. If you have a dream, here's the place to share it.
• provide you with a voice through letters to the editor and chapter personnel ready to respond.
• vote through a pen pal system.
• help in the organization of satellite meetings coordinated for the membership in your area of the state.
